The Story Behind This Bracelet
This bracelet was inspired by Pablo Picasso’s Guernica, one of the most emotional paintings I’ve ever seen. Even though it’s created with only black, white, and gray, I could feel so many emotions within it. It made me realize that art doesn’t always have to be colorful to tell a powerful story.
As I was designing this bracelet, I suddenly had another idea. I thought, “Why not create a matching set for a father and his son?” That moment made me so excited because I loved the thought of two people sharing something meaningful that reminds them of each other every day.
The black and white beads reflect the timeless feeling of Guernica, while the soft lavender beads symbolize peace, love, and hope. One of my favorite details is the three white pearls placed together in a single line. To me, they represent unity, strength, and the special bond that keeps a family connected through every stage of life.
When I finished both bracelets and placed them side by side, I couldn’t stop smiling. Seeing an idea that began with a famous painting become a handmade father-and-son bracelet made me incredibly happy. It’s one of those moments that reminds me why I love creating jewelry.
